Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 July 2026.

type2fun is a small tool for coordinating running club events. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Information we collect

When you sign in, depending on the method you choose, we receive:

  • Email sign-in: your email address, used only to send you a sign-in link.
  • Strava or Google sign-in: your name and profile picture, and your email address where the provider makes it available. We request only basic profile information — never posting permissions, contacts, or activity data.

Once you're signed in and using the app, we store:

  • The clubs you belong to and events you create, join, or are invited to.
  • Run details you or your club organisers enter — titles, descriptions, locations, and times.
  • Route files (GPX/FIT) and photos you upload, stored via Vercel Blob storage.
  • Your notification preference (on/off).

How we use it

Solely to run the product: showing you your clubs and events, letting organisers and attendees see who's coming, and sending transactional email (sign-in links and run notifications) via our email provider, Resend. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell or share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers named on this page.

Where it's stored

Application data is stored in a Postgres database (Neon) and file uploads in Vercel Blob storage, both hosted via Vercel. Sign-in is handled by Auth.js; we never see or store your password for any provider you sign in with.

Your choices

  • You can turn off notifications at any time from your profile page.
  • To have your account or data deleted, use the "Report an issue" button (flag icon in the header) to reach us, and we'll action the request.
